For me, being childlike is having the same interest and curiosity into subjects and stuff compared to adults that can get caught up in wanting to be normal or the wanting to be the same as everyone else. Being childlike means having that freedom to decide and be interested in things, and have that kid like curiosity and not worry about getting dirty or down at ground level. Being childlike means experimenting with things. Think of a child, when you give them some toys or even crafts you'll come back and child will create and make something new, and they'll be lost in what they made.
Childlike to me is like, being playful and young at heart. Being able to explore, ignoring the judgements from the outside world and enjoying being yourself. Childlike isn't about ignoring responsibilities, or being dependent on someone. Its not about being bratty or having tantrums, its not about ignoring your adult responsibilities. Its about being able to be free and enjoy being life. .
