White Tree Nymph (Idea Leuconoe)

Flowers

I went out for my first photowalk yesterday and I took pictures of pretty flowers. :) I really like taking close up photos of plants. >.<; Its like an obsession I have.  But its also how I see flowers.

Look at how cute she's gotten!

I've had this plant for maybe 3 years now! And she's been doing so well. I was worried when I moved she might not adjust well to the change. But she has.

I remember when she was really small and I just wanted to share so people could see how well she's been doing.

Mini Ocean

Oh I miss this. This was my mini ocean I use to have in my old house with my ex. I'm thinking of doing something similar to this just on a smaller scale. Big flower pots are just really heavy to get up stairs with no elevator. So going small might also just be something I have to do.

I know I want to pick up some smaller pieces of drift wood in the spring and pick up some pebbles, use some of my sea glass I already have, I also wanna see if I can find some small each urchin shells too, to also add.

These are nice to make because you can then have a bit of the ocean with you. <3 I also do sea magic and I'm really attached to the ocean so it also helps me feel less like I'm away from home.

Dream Broom

I went to this place a few years ago, Its called "North Woven Broom" Its a really lovely little broom shop outside of Nelson. We had to take a ferry to go over to the area that had really cute shops, and this was a shop I was really excited to go to. They hand make brooms and they have brooms in different sizes, and there shop smelt to great. My goodness. Everything from what I remember was hand made and they were working on brooms when I was over in the fall, and thats what they do. Summer is suppose to be really busy for them. But the brooms are beatiful, the wood its self is so smooth and lovely to touch, and the brooms made me feel really happy. I want one for my alter, I feel like they are a beatiful work of art. (They also sell them out here at a local witchery shop!)

They also were the people who made brooms for Harry Potter. So if you are a Harry Potter fan, well you now know where to get your broom from.

The shop lady was really nice and I know I'm going to buy a broom from this shop one day. Maybe I won't be able to go to the location, but I know I want to support them somehow!

They also make super neat brooms with alters and stuff too.

If you want to see more pictures for that shop you can find them here:  https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.326523247503633.1073741829.325440194278605&type=3

Sea Glass Trade

I'm going to start doing a sea glass trade with people who want to send me a sea shell in exchange. I might also do it for other things, i'm not sure. But I know I want to at least do a sea glass exchange for some really pretty sea shells I can't find locally. Sea glass is free to find, It'll just cost money to ship, and I have small pieces and big pieces, and also an assortment of colors too. :)  I think I'll just stick to shipping the smaller pieces. People can then get more compared to just a few really big pieces.

Sea shells

I went to value village a few days ago and I ended up picking myself up a bag of sea shells.  I found one bag I found and it had a lot of amazing pieces in the bag. It had some coral and it also had some Sea Urchin spins.  I found a few things I've been wanting to get.

I wanted to show you guys want I got:

Last nights dinner

That was my dinner yesterday. It was really yummy. I made myself some oatmeal with orangic sugar and blue berries with some small plums on the site and some tea.   I thought I'd make myself some tension tamer tea. And it really helped and it tastes really well with my oatmeal too.

Sea Glass and Sea Pottery.

These are my favorite pieces of beach glass and pottery I've picked up. This year I have found so much purple sea glass. I've also found some blue, and different blue colors. I also found a few small pieces of red and my friend gave me the very big piece of red.  I'm going to hold onto that.

The pottery is beautiful and I love the colors. I picked up a lot.  I really like the pieces that have a bunch of color on them. I'm going to give the crackled ones to my friend because she really likes those ones. I just wanna keep one piece because I think its really neat.

But this is what I've been collecting my full summer. And my red bits are what I suffered a sun burn for!

Beautiful Sky

I love looking at the sunset in our area. Its so pretty and I love the colors that come out. I love the purple hue this sky had. It was so beautiful.

July 5th

This was our sky on July 5th. all of that color was from smoke from the fires in our area. Well way up island. It was really scary when I found out what it was. It also smelt really really bad. Different ares around here too were having ash fall. Luckily I didn't have that.

I stayed inside that day.

sea urchins

This is my collection right now.

Bear Family

I took a picture today of my bear family. I had them hanging out around my sea urchins. I wanted to know what was taller, turns out. My bears are taller then sea urchins.

I've also found a few other small things that my critters can have for now. I really hope I can get more stuff. But the little sister bear in the photo has a little teddy. I also found a hello kitty figure shes going to have too. :3

Beach

Yesterday I went out to the beach after I did a bunch of errands. It was so lovely and really needed too. The beach was so relaxing. I went with my friend, my boyfriend didn't come. he wanted to stay home and relax and that was fine. But it was so nice. We hung out in sand that was in the shade so it was super cold and we ran around in the cold ocean water too.

My friend and I both do beach combing together so we ended up just talking on the beach while picking up stuff. I'm really just glad I finally have a who is a girl who also has similar interests too me. And is okay with listening to me while I talk and same back.  I also just feel so happy because we both can do things like just window shop together and its not that bad.

The two things that are on my leg are fish scales. There so neat. I want to try and find more of them. I might also use them to understand and try and design my mermaid themed tattoo better as well. :3
This is a 'heart' shaped rock. I'm excited I found one. I've been looking for one of these for awhile. (that and hag stones which I haven't found yet)
I have a jar for beach rocks I'm finding from the beach for the summer. When this jar is full, I'm going to fill it up with water to see the colors that show up from my rock picking. <3

and this is one for sea shell pieces. :3
Yesterday I mostly just picked up broken sea shell pieces.  I also am going to the beach next Monday too. I'm going to bring a bigger bucket to see if I can pick up some bigger sea shells this time.  This is my collection of my local sea shells so far.

Sea Urchin Shell

I found this sea urchin shell a few days ago. It still has some spines on it. I took off most of its spines and I love the colors that was on this little one after I took off all its spines. It was dead of course. But look at how pretty it is. <3
Sea urchins also have a really neat texture to them too.

Chitons

So on Monday my friend I went out to the beach to go beach combing. To look at life and pick up dead things. I found a Katy Chiton. It was dead. It washed up on shore. and I found it to be really neat so I brought it home and now its in a jar.

Chitons when they aren't dead are really tough, they feel really slippery. They also are really hard and you shouldn't pull them off of rocks.  They are stuck there. They eat pieces of algae off of rocks and you can also find them on really rocky shore lines.  They love HUGE rocks. Not little pebbles.

They have this back armor and they are just really neat creatures.
Oh and this is what there shells look like that you can find at the beach too. Me and my friend have found them in rocky areas where alive chitons are.

Wind Chime

I put my wind chime up today! Its so pretty. Oh my gosh. I love it.

Cuddle Bear Family.

(sorry for the shadows I took pictures during the peak sun time. oops)

Look what I got yesterday! I got my cuddle bear family.  My friend sent me 30 dollars and I was able to buy one family with the money. (I now think I should have saved it for that toy fair because I could have tried to get more than just the family. oopsies.)

But I'm so happy. Like I just feel so much joy. I got to treat myself.

I bought the family yesterday after school. I was feeling really ill but I wanted to pick up my bears so bad, and when I got home with it, I just held the box so tightly.I felt so happy and then I opened the box and I was petting my bears. They are so soft, their fur is so nice, oh my gosh.   I got my boyfriend to pet one. And of course he pets the Daddy bear. (My boyfriend is my Daddy bear)  But yes, they feel really soft and cute. And I love the details. I ended up just looking at the dresses, the fabric they picked is so wonderful. Seriously I'm more in love with these guys now.

I love their little tails too.  I'm so happy I have the cuddle bear family.  I have my cuddle bear family. <3

I don't know how long its going to take me to get all the pieces I want. But next I really want the babies, and then I want to get the camper van,  and then the tent and then I would like to get the baby pool and sandbox too. From there I'd like to really get the tree house set.

Right now I think they need a home.

Last field trip for my class!

I went to the beach today with my class for low tide. We went around labeling and identifying species of ocean life that lives on our coast. (The little critters! Not the big ones)  It was fun, we found porcelain crabs and kelp crabs to little decorative crabs.  We also found some purple crabs, we saw different sea stars, sea weeds and even sea anemones and sea urchins. I brought my camera with me. I didn't take pictures of everything. I was busy trying to learn and just look at things, poke at things and watch things live out there life for the little bit of time I got to watch them for. The area we also went too as you can see from the pictures above was also really rocky so it wasn't really clumsy friendly. xD So I spent a lot of time just moving really slow and hoping I don't fall on my face.

This is a porcelain crab. And yeah I put him on my knee. he didn't seem to like being held but he was fine when I put him down on my knee for a quick picture. You can see they have these big pinches. there super neat and cutie little things. They also have long antennae. Which is just super cute!

I'm not sure what sea anemone this is.  I want to say maybe painted sea anemone.

Helmet crab top. There was no one home in this. I was going to bring it home with me, but I gave it to my teacher in stand. I wanna find one now for myself to keep this summer. Its so neat isn't it?

Mottled sea star
Six armed sea star. Its just a little babe too! :3 I watched it wiggle its little legs around as it tried to get back into a hiding spot.
Teenager sea gulls. :3
