Guinea pigs

I haven't done a piggy update in awhile! My girls are doing fine. They had a wonderful summer. They got cool blankets draped over there cage to keep them cool, and ice packs for them to lay on with blankets over top of them.

They've gotten bigger since I last posted them. And Leda and Rosie I think are becoming more outgoing. they still aren't a huge fan of the camera. however they are find with videos being taken of them.

Leda bear is still pretty timid but she's slowly warming up to us. She likes to put her head up in the air to greet us sometimes and she lets her Daddy pet her a little now.. n-n and she lets me pet her. Shes also really brave. My boyfriend put in a new little box/tub for my silly girls. And Leda was the first to jump in and be like "Yeah I can see me eating in here." Rosie was being the timid scared one.  I'm so happy to see shes not as scary anymore. ALSO! I've seen Leda Lay outside of her hids. Just lay, and sleep. Its so freakin' cute! It also means shes feels safe! So yay!!

Rosie is doing well too. She's still out going and silly. I call her happy a lot. Cause she always seems to be happy. Shes also pretty vocal sill. She likes to wheek at me in the morning when I first get up for her breakfast and she also likes to wheek for her snacks. Oh and if I get my own food she watches me eat and wheeks at me. Shes a cute baby bear though. =) she also likes to play and she loves to jump off her sofa's. Its like her staring move to pop corning. "Oh I wanna popcorn, I gotta go jump off the sofa and popcorn after this" Shes my goofy girl. I love her so much.

Oh, I'm also planning them a really cute Christmas. I wanna do cute stockings filled with piggy goodies for them. n-n I need to start figuring out what I'm going to buy them. Plus I wanna buy them two cute woven homes. Cause they both seem to like there current woven hide the best. They take turns sleeping in it currently. Its adorable. Its never empty.

So I've had my piggy girls for about a month and a half now.  I'm in utter love with them, I did a bunch of researching before I was able to buy them and bring them home.   So these are my two girls. 

Their names are Leda and Rosy.

They are doing really well. They are about 4 months old now I think. And are super big girls. Rosy (the one in the bottom picture) shes more of a piggy, she likes to eat, and she also likes to talk to momma and shes really fond of being petted. She'll stand up on her two legs when I come by and ask her whats up. Mostly cause she wheeks at me. 

Leda is my shy bear. She does wheek, but its really soft, she will also make these soft cute squeaks. She is okay with being petted. BUT if you are able to get her out of her cage she turns into a talkative happy baby. And she also is my shoulder pig.  She likes being up high. Meanwhile Rosy just likes to lay in my lap and snooze. 

They also are exploring more foods ever day, and I'm glad they are in love with baby spring mix.   I really can't wait for berries to become more affordable and in season so I can get them some berries to eat. And summer will be coming too which means black berries will be bloom so the little bears will have a supply of those for sure!

Its also adorable cause they use to be so small. And they still are small. But look at how tiny they use to be!

Guinea Pig

If you've followed me on any website you probably know I've been really excited about getting two really cute guinea pigs. If you know me in real life, you probably know I'm excited cause I'm going to buy guinea pigs!  I preferable want two girls.

I've been doing a lot of research about my piggies.  And I'm also getting closer to being ready to pick out two cute girlies and bring them home and love them forever!

I've bought a couple of things for them.

I made a C&C cage today! I was so lucky I found all of this for $7.99 There was 14 squares. So I made this pretty big. Its 2 across and 4 long. I also like it because I can make it be a bit wider if I want too. 

The picture above isn't the most perfect of the cage it was a quick put together. And I'm not ready. It was done in the middle of the living room.

Puppy pads

2 fleece blankets and 3 baby blankets for them to cuddle in.

Litter pan.  

Dust pan and small hand broom

Micro fiber clothes that are textured. - They are for like swifters or something but I thought they'd be cute!

Hay bag

I still need to get:

Hideout

Two houses

Food bowls 

Water bottle

I also want to grab a couple of chews for them to play with too.  :)

I do realize the first couple of days they'll be scared of me. So I'm going to just try and speak really softly to them when I feed them. Make sure they are happy babies and otherwise just let them be. (Even though I'll be like.. 'I WANNA TOUCH YOU! I WANNA PET YOU!')
