Studio Ghibli Survey

First Studio Ghibli movie?
Kiki's Delivery Service. It was the first movie I saw from Studio Ghibli, I saw it at blockbuster and I wanted to watch it, Stuff with witches always draws me in.  My dad got it for me, and than he bought me the VHS of it.
Favorite Studio Ghibli movie and why?Howls Moving Castle. I still want to read the book this movie is based off of. But I love this movie because of the style. As I said above I really like stuff that has to do with magic and I think that might have been one of the reasons why I liked the movie. Along with the music. , I love the look of the cities and how detailed and even 'shiny' everything is. I love Howl and how he grows yet is still fun and freesprited even if he is a bit of a drama queen, and I love how Sophie grows. I feel like I'm like her in someways. I'm very down on my looks sometimes.
Least favorite Studio Ghibli movie and why?
Err... This question. I really don't know.  I guess I would have to say Porco Rosso. Although that is more my fault because I was trying to watch while multitasking
Favorite female main character and why?
Kiki! because I just love her and her adventure. I love her spirit and magic.
I also really like Nauciaa. She's really adventurous
Favorite male main character and why?
Howl or Tombo. Howl is my all time favorite ghibli character, it has such an enchanting tale, and I find myself with a strange crush on him.
Least favorite character and why?
Either the Witch of the Waste or Haru. I didn't like the Witch of the Waste From Howls Moving Castle, I thought her character was very whinny, and it came off as she did stuff out of jealousy and thats why she practiced magic.
Haru from The Secret World Of Arrietty drove me crazy, I just found her character really rude in a way. She came off as she was stuck in her childhood and wanting to prove they were real. But compared to her father (I think) she wanted to remove them... It just really bugged me that she wouldn't leave the borrowers alone.
Studio Ghibli movie(s) you haven’t seen?

  • Panda Go panda
  • Anne of Green Gables
  • Wolf Children
  • Marnie Was There
Favorite ‘bad guy’ and why?
Lady Eboshi. I love her single-mindedness and courage. How she is looking after the women and wants women to be strong!  She’s the most determined ghibli-villain, she also goes through with her plans. And though she almost kills nature itself... She's a character I admire.
Favorite secondary character and why?

image

Jiji for sure!  He’s sweet, funny, and is an adorable little cat! I think it’s also because I have a biased love for black cats.
Favorite animal?
Yakul. He is so cute, and I cried when Ashitaka had to leave him behind, but Yakul wanted very badly to follow his best friend. He’s so loyal and sweet. He never needed to speak, you could tell they were friends.
I also really liked the Teto. Which is the little fox in NausicaƤ Of The Valley Of The Wind
Favorite spirit creature?
IN NO ORDER... and I have probably missed some.
  • Susuwatari
  • Calcifer
  • No face
  • Tree Spirits
  • Totoro - All the sizes :P
  • Forest Spirit
  • Cat Bus
Favorite pairing?
  • Haku and Chihiro
  •  Howl and Sophie
  • Kiki and Tombo

Favorite song?
  • Stroll from Totoro
  • Merry Go round From Howls moving Castle

Favorite moment?
When Kiki can Fly again, and when Chihiro remembers Haku’s name, and remembers meeting him before. Both of those moments touched my heart so much. I felt so happy!
Favorite piece of fan art?

image
I like how Jiji is holding on so tight. XD I can picture him saying
Too high Kiki!
In the little whimper mumble he does.
Favorite quote?
"Without even thinking about it, I used to be able to fly. Now I’m trying to look inside myself and find out how I did it" - Kiki
"Just follow your heart and keep smiling" Kiki's Mum
Which world(movie) would you like to live in?
Howls Moving Castle's world.
Or Kiki's world
Last Studio Ghibli movie you saw?
I re-watched Howls Moving Castle Recently
Saddest moment?
When Kiki Lost her magic and couldn't fly or talk to Jiji. It made me so sad, I wanted to hug her so badly.
Funniest moment?

image

I think one of the moments that makes me laugh still is when howl has a breakdown about his hair. The reason why I found it funny was because of the comment Markl made that he saw Howl do this once before after a break up.
Favorite Studio Ghibli cosplay?
I don't think I have one honestly.
Studio Ghibli movies that you own?
I don't own any on DVD at the moment. Everything I watch is Downloaded/pirated.
If you had never seen any Studio Ghibli movies would your life be any different?
I think so. I find the music and even just the films he does really amazing and they bring my days a bit happier and lighter to also know there's other people out there that enjoy and think the same way I do. Also Studio Ghibli helps me find inspiration.
Least favorite couple?
I don't have one.
Favorite fan inspired couple?
Errr... -leaves blank-
Character you identify with most?
I'd say I'm a kiki/Sophie mix.
Favorite Studio Ghibli short film?
I haven't seen any of his shorts. But cat bus looks cute.
What movie would you recommend to someone who has never seen a Studio Ghibli Film?
Either Howls Moving Castle or Kiki's Deliver services
What movie would you love to see a sequel for?
I would love to see a sequel of Kiki's Deliver services just because I wanna see Jiji and lily and their kittens. And how Kiki's business is doing and how Osono and her husband and their child is doing...  I want to know what happened to there life after! So many unanswered questions.

Future Pet

This is more of a rambles post than anything else.

I've been looking into animals and what I would like to have as a pet. The building I live in has no pets allowed, but I think if I can talk to the landlord and ask about If small animals are allowed. Like a ferret or something. I don't want to start getting items without knowing, but right now I know I can research and get ideas.

I've been researching a bit about them, I've watched some youtubers talk about there ferrets. This also includes watching the animal plant video, and Joey TheTrainedFerret. :3 So I have been learning about them. I really want to make sure I have as much info as I feel like I need so when I look into getting one as a pet I feel more confident about it. Tomorrow I will be stopping to pick up some books about ferrets at the library to see if I can get some more info. I'm going to also write down notes into a notebook I have. I also added a section on my wishlist for ferret stuff, and I tossed some books about them onto there.

This is one of the books I want. This is really suppose to be good for newbies that have never had a ferret before. Its also a good book for people who have had one before. It's suppose to have a bunch of info in it about caring for and about your ferret. So I'm hoping I can get this book sometime soon.

My wishlist also has a bunch of stuff on it that I've figured out I'll need so far. I've looked at food so far, treats, toys, housing, health care stuff...ect.  I also know I need to get all this stuff before I bring a cutie home. But I can't bring a cutie home until I get the okay from the landlord.

I asked at the pet shop how much there ferrets are. $250, but I don't know if that counts with the cage or not. And because of that I'm still going to add the price to a cage.

I'm looking at what kind of cage I'd like to do. There is two kinds of cages I've seen, one that you buy that comes in a box that you take home and build, or when you flip something like a TV stand into a cage.

Thats the cage I have on my wishlist for now. I think it's good. It's meant for a bunny, but I think a ferret will be okay in there. I'm only getting one ferret and I don't want to get him a super huge cage.  I think also for the lack of room we have here. I'd rather get a cage then to try and do a DIY project. We don't really have space for working with wood and stuff. I do love the DIY cages I've seen.

I also am going to buy a carrying case for my baby.  I would love to take it for trips to the park and play with it.  I think if I get one, I'd rather get a pup, and train it from being a baby compared to training it when it's a bit older and already has some habits it knows.

So far with everything I know it's going to cost me around... 1,000-ish I think.  Which isn't that bad. I know I'll be saving for awhile before I can get the baby, and I want approval first. For now I'm going to save, find out if I can have one, if I can great, I'll start go out and get what I need.

Some of the names I've thought up so far is... Scampers, Kitty, Luna.  <3

... And because I should say this,  If I can't get one, I'll be sad, but I do know that I do want a ferret at some point. So at most it'll just postpone the need for a ferret, until we can find a place that is pet friendly.  Plus I'll have some money saved up and my boyfriend and I can do something else that is enjoyable.

Hummus

Ingredients.

  • 2 whole red bell peppers (substitute about 3/4 cup chopped jarred roasted red peppers)
  • One can of chickpeas
  • 1/4 cup of lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • Half of a large garlic clove, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

Directions
Move an oven rack so that it is about 5 inches from the broiler. Turn oven broiler on.
Remove core of peppers then cut into large flat pieces. Arrange pepper pieces, skin-side up, on a baking sheet. Broil 5 to 10 minutes until the peppers skin has charred.
Add peppers to a resealable plastic bag, seal then wait 10 to 15 minutes until cool enough to handle. Or, add peppers to a bowl then cover with plastic wrap and wait 10 to 15 minutes. Gently peel away the charred pepper skin and discard.
Prepping the hummus
In the bowl of a food processor, combine tahini and lemon juice. Process for 1 minute. Scrape sides and bottom of bowl then turn on and process for 30 seconds. This extra time helps “whip” or “cream” the tahini, making smooth and creamy hummus possible.
Add the minced garlic, cumin, and the salt to whipped tahini and lemon juice. Process for 30 seconds, scrape sides and bottom of bowl then process another 30 seconds.
Open can of chickpeas, drain liquid then rinse well with water. Add half of the chickpeas to the food processor then process for 1 minute. Scrape sides and bottom of bowl, add remaining chickpeas and process for 1 to 2 minutes or until thick and quite smooth.
Add peppers to hummus and continue to process for 1 to 2 minutes or until smooth.
If the hummus is too thick or still has tiny bits of chickpea, with the food processor turned on, slowly add 1 to 3 tablespoons of water until the consistency is perfect.
Yum! Enjoy!

Stuffed bell Peppers

Ingredients:

  • 4 bell peppers, red, yellow, or green
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried leaf basil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, divided
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper, divided
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 cup cooked long-grain rice
  • shredded Cheddar cheese, about 1/2 cup

Preparation:
Cut tops off peppers; remove seeds and membranes. Chop edible part of tops and set aside. Rinse peppers under cold water. Place peppers in a large pot; cover with salted water. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 5 minutes. Drain peppers and set aside.
Chop the rest of the vegetables and set aside for cooking.
Directions:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until hot.
SautƩ chopped peppers from the tops, add the chopped onion, and chopped celery for about 5 minutes, or until vegetables are tender.
Then add tomatoes, tomato paste, water, crushed garlic, basil, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of pepper. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
In a large mixing bowl, combine egg with remaining 1 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Gently stir to blend; add uncooked ground beef, cooked rice, and 1 cup of the tomato mixture.
Stuff peppers with meat mixture and place in a 3-quart baking dish. Pour remaining tomato mixture over the stuffed peppers.
Bake at 350° for 55 to 65 minutes. Top stuffed peppers with a little shredded cheddar cheese just before peppers are done; bake until cheese is melted.
Enjoy!

SeaFood Pasta

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, chopped
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 can of tomato sauce

  • Spaghetti noodles, roughly broken
  • 1 pack frozen seafood mix, defrosted
Prep
Prep the noodles before hand. Cook and than wash the noodles.

Sailor Moon Survey!

1 – What age you started watching Sailor Moon?
Oh wow. Now that I think about it. Its been so long for me! I started watching Sailor moon back when I was in kindergarten. I used to watch it on YTV right after school. I use to race home and get so annoyed with my mum. (She'd take what felt like forever for her to get to our place so she could unlock the door so I could watch my tv show)   I was probably maybe 4-5 when I started watching it.
2 – Favorite character when you were younger?
When I was younger I really liked two sailor scouts a lot.
My first favorite was Amy, or Sailor Mercury. I really liked that she was so true to herself. I always admired and really loved  her for being so smart, beautiful, gentle, and I also felt like she was a really genuine character. I also really loved that she'd get super tough when she was faced with adversity. She was the responsible one. I wanted to grow up with the traits that she had.
My second favorite was Makoto, Sailor Jupiter. I felt like she was also a super strong and beautiful character.  I was so jealous of her skin and hair I also really wanted her rose earrings when I was little. For awhile I ended up wearing my hair up all the time. She was really inspiring to me. I also felt like I learnt some stuff from her. She's strong, Feminine, brave, unprejudiced, helpful, a great cook and baker. She also could stand her ground.
3 – Favorite character recentlySailor Venus is one of my newer favorites.

image

I've also started to become a fan of Mini Moon.

 Mamoru & Usagi

Haruka & Michiru
6 – Couple you wished existed

I think Sailor Mars and Venus would be so cute together. <3
7 – Prettiest/most handsome characterThis one is a bit tough because all the sailor scouts are pretty, and mostly all the men in sailor moon were handsome. (Although some had werid fashion sense) I think the prettiest character I've seen in the show was Sailor Neptune.  She´s beautiful, talented, powerful. She also was really passionate.
8 – Favorite villain
I have a list....
  • Nephrite
  • Black Lady
9 – Least favorite villainI don't think there's one I don't like. XD I really liked them all.
10 – Character you wish was a Senshi
When I was younger I used to always think that Molly was going to join at some point in time with the Gang. I was so sad to see she never turned into a Senshi. I also felt really sad while watching the series because I felt like Molly was getting pushed away more and more.
11 – Favorite Outer Senshi (and why)When I was younger I really loved Saturn. I thought she was super sweet and a lovely character.
12 – Favorite Inner Senshi? (and why)For inner, I'd have to say hands down Jupiter! Because she's just really amazing. She's my childhood hero. (Aside from Wonder Women)
13 – Favorite secondary characterOMG!
Sailor Chibi Chibi.  She’s so cute and she’s like a little baby only saying “chibi chibi”.
14 – Best dressed Senshi

image

I really liked Sailor Neptune's outfits. She was always dressed so elegantly.
I also really loved the outfits sailor moon wore.

My favorites were...
  • Venus love chain encircle
  • Venus love and beauty shock
  • Sparkling Wide Pressure
  • Supreme Thunder Dragon
17 – Favorite attack overall (villains included)

image

I couldn't think of any bad guys attacks. But I also really loved moon spiral heart attack sailor moon did. It was so beautiful.
18 – Manga or anime?I like both! I can't really pick one.
19 – Sailor Moon episodes subbed or dubbed?

image

I say both. I think its good to sometimes watch an anime dubbed and subbed. It just gives you an idea of the full story. I personally do now adays prefer subbed! But I do like dubbed anime. I watched the anime first Dubbed.
 20 – Worst dressed Senshi
I can't really think of any. I think all of them sometimes had some pretty odd outfits for walking around wear.
21 – One thing you wished the show had?I think I would have liked to seen more of molly and Serena being together. I think it would have been nice if she was more included with there group. I also would have loved to see a bit more of there life.
22 – Sailor Moon moment that upsets youSee question 24.
23 – Sailor Moon moment that makes you happyomg! There's so many. I liked a lot of moments when Serena was given the ring by Darien!
24 – Sailor Moon moment that makes you cry
When Nephlite passed. That ep ever single time makes me cry like a baby. That also was the first time I saw a character in a tv show 'die'.

image

25 – Funniest Sailor Moon moment
The scene when Usagi and Seiya are talking about Usagi’s “first time” and Usagi is all like “Mamoru I was going to wait for you, my sweet love” in her head but it turns out Seiya was just talking about dancing
26 – Dark Kingdom, Black Moon Clan, Death BI can't really pick which one I like the most. I guess I'll pick Dark Kingdom.
29 – Senshi or Starlights?
 I prefer Senshi.
30 – Favorite Moon cat
LUNA!!! I really loved Luna. I thought she was just so perfect and cute! She also really made me think of a mother. :) She's one of my favorites and I really hope to some day get a black cat and name her Luna.
